Scorpio’s ruling planet is Pluto, and it’s element is Water. They are probably the strongest signs in the zodiac. Fate plays a large part in dictating how their lives will turn out; and relationships with both lovers and friends are often powerful and exciting, though not always in a good way!
Many Scorpios are older and wiser than their years. They can even be mature as children, which makes this characteristic all the more noticeable. Many astrologers have acknowledged that Scorpios are more advanced in their years, and sometimes call Scorpios the “oldest souls” because they have impressive maturity and wisdom for their age.
Although Scorpios usually have a great knowledge of many different topics, they can struggle to be feel completely happy and fulfilled. Scorpios are strong and passionate, but they usually struggle to strike a balance between their desire for love and their desire for power. A Scorpio will do everything differently. Their emotions run deep, very deep, and this is hard for some people to comprehend. Most Scorpios are not very thick-skinned, another thing that others can struggle to understand.
Scorpios are very secretive and usually play their cards very close to their chest. You could be married to a Scorpio for years, yet never really know them inside out. If ‘a picture paints a thousand words’, then a Scorpio’s eyes can be very telling. However, what they say won’t always be the same as what they are thinking. Hiding their eyes means that they don’t want to give anything away, and there could easily be a storm brewing inside! A large number of Scorpios achieve great things in their lives, and they like to come first at whatever they do. However, their biggest enemy is often themselves. Their outlook is what lifts them up to success, or drags them down to failure. A Scorpio’s mind is very powerful, and they often stop themselves from achieving their goals.
There are actually three different types of Scorpio, and they vary quite significantly. There are three separate levels, with one higher than the other. Some Scorpios progress through the levels as they go through life. On the first level is the scorpion. The scorpion is attracted to the bad, and even criminal side of life. On the second level is the eagle. The eagle flies high, achieves great things and is optimistic. They can almost always turn a negative into a positive. Third is the phoenix. The phoenix is commanding and powerful, and often has some sort of leadership role.
Scorpios are sensitive, but the most ironic thing is that they are hardly ever sensitive to others. If you don’t have their respect, they won’t make much time for you. Scorpios need loving partners, but their partners must maintain a power balance in the relationship. Scorpios like certainty, and when things start changing, they can quickly become uncomfortable. They are great in relationships that are stable and constant.
Scorpios are quite persuasive; if used correctly, this can be a powerful and positive attribute. On one of their good days, you may feel like you could spend forever and a day with your Scorpio friend or partner. On a bad day, they can be cold, harsh and sly, and you might want to run the other way!
In business, Scorpios are great problem solvers. They can look at the bigger picture whilst remaining mindful of the smaller details, a rare skill. Scorpios generally have a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality. As they are sometimes weary of trying new things, this can put them at a disadvantage in business.
